Why Smart
Science®
Exists

To Create The Next Generation of Young Scientists

Edward Keller was a high school science teacher when he had a huge challenge - to do great science lab activities for all his students every week.  His school did not have the lab equipment he needed and his huge classes were very difficult to do labs in safely.  He felt firsthand struggles:

Difficult due to cost,
danger, time, and space
Inquiry style ideal but
often gets left behind
Students fail to learn
to do science
Science test
scores stagnate
Advanced science
course enrollment drops
Students don't fall
in love with science

After meeting with Dr. Harry Keller,  they devised a solution - to use a new interactive experiment videos so all students could do real hands-on style labs online.  They would be safe, affordable and accessible to every student simultaneously.

Within a few years, the pair with the help of Jayne Keller built a few lessons to try at the school.  These new, video led virtual labs were highly engaging to students and created amazing results for improving standardized tests - Harry, Edward and Jayne then formed Smart Science® Education to share their technology across the country and improve science education.
